  • The red stripes stand for the blood that was shed in order to gain Thailand’s Independence.
  • The white represents purity and represents Buddhism which is Thailand’s main religion.
  • The blue represents the country’s national color and the color of its monarchy.
  • Thailand also uses blue to honor its World War I allies Great Britain, United States, France, and Russia.
  • All of those countries have red, white, and blue flags.
